What inspires you?
I am inspired by the magnificent potential strung through every aspect of the world we live in. I'm encouraged each morning because I believe that this potential is actually intended for eventual greatness, unimaginable increase, and total perfection at the hands of a relational, gracious God. To be part of a world like that means that we have the honor of interacting with a proud, dignified creation—people that are imbued with eternal promise and worth.
What do businesses need most?
Growing, thriving businesses rarely take themselves seriously. They're not stark. They're not reverent. And they're never unapproachable. These groups of people know who they are- a strange mix of talent. Businesses need to realize that at their core they are relationships—relationships managed for the purpose of fulfilling a vision with extreme care taken in performing the duty of the daily means as much as is given in striving for the big hairy audacious end.
  • When trying to solve most organizational problems, trust your gut enough to rip it out and throw it on a scale.
  • Vision in craftsmanship is often expected, but rarely received.
  • The best leaders are those that serve at their own expense.
